Cross & Stars

Cross & Partners was formed to create and produce Christian based family programming for Radio, Television, Film, Internet and the Stage.

Harlan Rector, President of Cross & Partners, created their first two projects, “A.D. The Musical”, now known as “A TASTE OF HEAVEN The Musical” and “L.I.G.H.T.”

Cross & Partners’ first project was a dramatic Radio Series called “L.I.G.H.T.”, an acronym for Living In God’s Hands Today. L.I.G.H.T. presents contemporary stories dramatizing how God works miracles in the lives of HIS people.

Thirty-nine episodes of L.I.G.H.T. were produced and broadcast on Christian radio stations across the country and received the Angel Award for “Excellence in Broadcasting”.

These true stories deal with the everyday struggles we all face in our society today.

The series, which is available on CD, is utilized by churches nationwide as a tool for discussion groups. L.I.G.H.T. is now being developed into a dramatic television series to reach an even broader audience with the glory of God’s word.

The new production features over 20 original songs with a full cast of singers, actors and dancers. It’s family friendly for audiences of all faiths.

Cross & Partners has released a 2 DVD set of the live theatrical production. Two original cast CD’s that feature all the songs from the musical are also available. To order the DVD’s or the inspirational CD’s, click here.

The Synopsis

“A TASTE OF HEAVEN The Musical” (ATOH) gives audiences of all ages the inspirational message of God’s love in an entertaining and enlightening way. More than 20 songs in this “play-within-a-play” help weave a colorful story about some of the people who encountered Jesus during his life on Earth.

This lighthearted, yet moving, musical tells the story of Morty, a new Angel that is sent back down to Earth with the Old Testament prophet Isaiah, to produce a musical revue to remind people of Jesus’ love for them. They then cast a group of actors to portray the characters in Jesus’ life.

The cast not only learns about themselves but also Jesus’ purpose in their lives. The story takes an interesting turn when the Angel Morty falls for Sandra, an actress who is cast to play the role of Mary. Tensions rise, but God steps in for the surprise ending and leads the rousing finale to “ATOH”.
